AnimeGrids is a daily trivia game where your mission is to fill a 3x3 grid with anime titles that match both a row clue and a column clue in each square.
You're presented with a grid where each row and column has a category pulled from MyAnimeList data. Think "Action," "2010s," "Sci-Fi," "Anime Original," "Top 1,000 MAL Popularity," or "Movie." Your job is to find an anime that satisfies both the row and column for each of the nine squares.
How to play:
- Tap any empty square to see its row and column clues.
- Search for an anime title that fits both categories.
- Submit your pick. If it's valid, it locks into the grid.
- Fill all nine squares to complete the puzzle.
- Each correct answer gets a rarity score, the percentage of players who chose the same title. Lower is rarer.
- Your overall rarity score reflects how obscure your picks were compared to other solvers.
A new grid drops daily. An archive lets you play past puzzles anytime.
Why we like it:
- β Pulls from MyAnimeList's massive database, so there's real depth to explore.
- β Rarity scoring rewards deep cuts and makes replays worthwhile.
- β Quick enough to finish in one sitting, but satisfying for casual fans and completionists alike.
Hint: Start with the most restrictive intersections first. A square where both clues are narrow gives you fewer options and helps anchor the rest of your grid.
