Playlin'sGuide
AtomixQuest is a daily chemistry puzzle that tests how well you know the periodic table through five quick challenge types that change the question every day.
Each day brings a fresh grid of elements and a specific task. You might need to spot the impostor element that doesn't belong in a sequence, identify the heaviest element in the set, find the most reactive, or pick the one closest to a target value. Every challenge draws on a different aspect of elemental properties.
- Impostor: Find the element that breaks the pattern or sequence.
- Maximum: Identify the element with the highest value for a given property.
- Minimum: Identify the element with the lowest value for a given property.
- Closest: Pick the element nearest to a specified target.
- Intruder: Spot the element that doesn't fit the group.
Tap your answer from the grid. Right or wrong, you move to the next challenge. Finish all five to complete the day. Consecutive daily play boosts your score with a streak multiplier that grows up to 25%.
Why we like it:
- β Five different challenge types keep the format from getting stale.
- β You don't need to memorize the whole table to enjoy it, just know enough to make educated guesses.
- β Perfect length for a quick brain warm up without spiraling into a research project.
Hint: When facing property based challenges like reactivity or atomic mass, remember the broad trends. Alkali metals are wildly reactive, noble gases are not. Atomic mass generally climbs as you move down and right. Those patterns solve most puzzles faster than trying to recall exact numbers.
