Busted Words

Busted Words is a daily word game where you move letter tiles to form words, clear rows, and keep the board from overflowing. Your goal is to survive 30 moves while scoring as many points as possible.

Drag a tile to turn a row into a word. Completed words clear from the board, but more rows drop after every move. Each turn is a choice between grabbing points, setting up a bigger word, and making enough room to stay in the game.

• Drag a tile to any row to change the letters and form words.
• A row clears when its letters spell an accepted word.
• Words must contain at least two letters.
• More rows arrive after each move. If the board overflows, your run ends.
• Make it through 30 moves to finish the daily board.
• Word-clear points double for each additional tile cleared in a single move.
• Clear words on consecutive moves to build a streak bonus. A move that clears no words resets the streak.

The dictionary uses American English and accepts plurals, past tenses, and -ing forms. Abbreviations, proper names, archaic words, and vulgar words don't qualify unless the word also has an accepted everyday meaning.

Everyone gets the same daily board, so you can compare scores. There's also a Training mode to get familiar with the game.

Hint: Before moving a tile between rows, check both the row you're taking it from and the one you're adding it to. Removing a letter might complete one word while adding it completes another.
