Playlin'sGuide
Capital Control is a daily geography puzzle where your mission is to find a capital city that fits the criteria at each intersection of a 3x3 grid.
Each day brings a new grid with nine empty cells. Every row and column has a unique condition. Your job is to find a world capital that satisfies both the row requirement and the column requirement for each square. Conditions range from letter patterns to population stats to geopolitical membership.
- Each cell needs a capital that matches both its row and column criteria.
- You have 5 mistakes before the puzzle ends.
- Type to search and select from the autocomplete list.
- Some intersections have many possible answers. Others have just one or two.
- A new grid drops daily with varying difficulty levels.
- Hard mode hides answer counts, making it tougher to strategize.
Why we like it:
- β Tests both broad geography knowledge and the ability to cross reference obscure facts.
- β That moment when you finally find the one capital that fits an impossible intersection is deeply satisfying.
- β Teaches you surprising things about capitals you thought you knew.
Hint: Start with the most restrictive intersections first. If a cell shows only one or two possible answers, lock it in early. That frees up mental space and sometimes unlocks adjacent squares you were stuck on.
