Playlin'sGuide
Chainle is a daily word association game where your mission is to find the hidden word that links two or three clues, or the word closest in meaning to a single clue.
Each round shows you clue words with a gap between them. Type any word you think fills that gap. There's no single correct answer. Your guess is scored on how close in meaning it is to every clue at once, and a chain visibly grows toward your word as you get warmer.
- You get one guess per round and five rounds total.
- Three rounds are two word bridges, where you find a word linked to both clues, like pizza and pasta meeting at tomato.
- One round is a three word bridge, needing a single word that fits all three clues, like bank, flow, and bridge meeting at river.
- One round is a closest connection, where you name the word nearest in meaning to a single clue, like violin leading to cello.
- Scoring tops out at 1000 points per round for a perfect match, for 5000 points total across the puzzle.
- Everyone gets the same five clues each day, and an archive lets you replay past puzzles anytime.
Why we like it:
- β The partial scoring makes even a wrong guess feel like progress.
- β Three different bridge styles keep the daily puzzle from feeling repetitive.
- β The archive means a bad streak never has to be the end of your chain.
Hint: Don't aim for the most obvious link first. The strongest scoring word is often the one that sits between both clues in meaning, not just attached to one of them.
