Objective

Make up to seven guesses of any astronomical object, using color-coded feedback on properties like mass and distance from Earth to identify today's mystery celestial target.

Playlin'sGuide

Cosmodle is a daily space trivia game where your mission is to identify a mystery celestial object using property comparisons in 7 guesses or fewer.

Each day brings a new astronomical target drawn from planets, moons, stars, galaxies, and other cosmic bodies. You search for and select any celestial object as your guess, then get color-coded feedback showing how your guess compares across multiple properties.

  • Search for and select any celestial object to make a guess.
  • Each property gets a colored square: green for exact match, yellow-ish for close, and arrows showing if the answer is higher or lower for each property.
  • Use the feedback to narrow down mass, distance, type, and other astronomical traits.
  • You have 7 guesses total.
  • A new mystery cosmic object drops every day.
  • Practice mode lets you play unlimited rounds anytime.

Why we like it:

  • A rare game that rewards actual space knowledge.
  • The property comparison system teaches you how celestial objects relate to each other.
  • Works whether you're guessing galaxies or diving deep into obscure stellar objects.

Hint: Start broad with a well-known object like the Sun to establish baselines for mass, distance, and type. Take advantage of the autocomplete system to learn new celestial objects to try.
