Diffle

Diffle is a daily word puzzle where your goal is to guess a mystery word using as few letters as possible, not as few guesses. Each attempt reveals which letters appear in the target word and in what order.

Unlike most word games, Diffle doesn't care how many words you try. It tracks how many total letters you've used across all your guesses. The challenge is to extract maximum information from short, strategic words.

• Each guess must be a valid English word.
• After each guess, tiles change color to show which letters appear in the target and in what sequence.
• Gray letters are not in the word at all.
• Colored letters are in the word. Their position in your guess shows their relative order in the target.
• If multiple colored letters appear, they follow that same order in the answer, though not necessarily adjacent.
• Green letters lock in exact positions at the start or end of the word.
• Your score is the total number of letters typed across all guesses.
