Objective

Tap letters from left to right across the grid to form the longest possible word in each of three rounds.

Playlin'sGuide

Elided is a daily word puzzle where you tap letters left to right across a 16-letter grid to spell hidden words in three rounds with four guesses per round.

Each round gives you a scrambled grid of 16 letters. Your job is to find the longest possible word by tapping letters in sequence from left to right. They don't need to be adjacent, but order matters. Tap them out of sequence and your word won't count.

  • Each puzzle has three rounds, each with one hidden target word.
  • You get four guesses per round to find the longest word.
  • Tap letters left to right across the grid. They don't have to touch, but the path must move forward.
  • Shorter words count, but you're hunting for the longest one hidden in the grid.
  • A new puzzle drops every day.
  • Free play mode generates random puzzles if you want more practice.

Why we like it:

  • The left to right constraint turns a familiar word hunt into a spatial puzzle.
  • Three quick rounds make it perfect for a coffee break.
  • Even wrong guesses help you map out which letters flow together.

Hint: Scan the grid for common prefixes and suffixes first. Once you spot a strong starting cluster on the left, trace possible continuations across the remaining letters before you commit.
