Analyze the color-coded world map and guess what global statistic it represents within four attempts.

Playlin'sGuide

HeatMapQuest is a daily geography puzzle where you identify a hidden global statistic from a color-coded heatmap in 4 rounds.

Each day brings a fresh map painted in gradients of color, with countries shaded from cool to hot based on an unknown metric. Your job is to figure out what's being measured. Population density? Coffee consumption? Internet usage? Life expectancy? The challenge is reading the pattern and naming the stat.

  • You get 4 rounds to guess the hidden statistic.
  • The heatmap shows countries colored by intensity, hot to cold.
  • Type your guess for what the map represents.
  • Use left-click to rotate the globe, mouse-wheel to zoom, and right-click to pan.
  • A new puzzle drops every day.
  • Consecutive daily play boosts your score by up to 25%.

The game also offers a Weekly Survival mode where you tackle multiple challenges with limited lives, resetting every Wednesday.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…Trains you to read data visually and think about global patterns.
  • βœ…The stats range from obvious to obscure, keeping every round interesting.
  • βœ…Fast enough for a coffee break but meaty enough to feel rewarding.

Hint: Start by identifying the extremes. Which countries are the darkest? Which are the lightest? That contrast often points directly to the category, whether it's wealth, climate, resources, or culture.
