Historic Firsts is a daily timeline game where your mission is to sort landmark inventions, discoveries, and breakthroughs from earliest to latest.
Each puzzle gives you a handful of historic firsts. Your job is to drag them into chronological order before you run out of guesses. It sounds straightforward until you're staring at the printing press, the polio vaccine, and the first photograph, trying to remember which century is which.
- Drag and drop events into the order you think they occurred.
- Submit your timeline. Correct placements lock in green.
- Misplaced events stay unlocked so you can adjust and try again.
- You have a limited number of guesses to get the full sequence right.
- A new set of historic firsts drops every day.
The game pulls from a wide range of categories: inventions, scientific breakthroughs, cultural milestones, and political firsts. One day it's the steam engine and penicillin. The next, it's the first Olympic Games and the moon landing.
Why we like it:
- β It turns vague historical knowledge into a satisfying sorting challenge.
- β You learn the actual dates after each round, so every puzzle sharpens your timeline sense.
- β Short enough to play over breakfast, but tricky enough to make you second guess everything.
Hint: When you're stuck between two events, think about the broader technological or social era. The Wright Brothers and the Model T feel close, but one unlocked the other. Context beats memorization.
