Miles Off is a daily geography game where you pin locations on a 3D globe with no borders or city labels in 10 seconds per place.
You're given a place name and an empty spinning globe. Your job is to drop a pin where you think it belongs before the clock runs out. Points depend on how close you land and how fast you commit.
- You have 10 seconds to place each pin.
- Spin and zoom the globe freely while the clock runs.
- Drop your pin. An arc snaps from your guess to the real location.
- Direct hits (under 30 km) earn maximum points.
- Score halves roughly every 450 km you're off.
- Speed matters. Seconds left add bonus points to your total.
- The Daily Challenge gives you five places, one attempt each, same round worldwide.
Why we like it:
- ✅Spinning a 3D globe has literally always been fun.
- ✅That satisfying snap of the red arc when you nail a tricky strait or remote desert.
- ✅Geography as a skill you build, not trivia you recite.
Hint: Don't obsess over precision early. Get the hemisphere and coastline right first, then lock in. A fast continent level guess often beats a slow, overthought pin.
