Objective

Fill the grid with island tiles so each numbered water space is sized to that number of blocks and doesn't connect with other islands.

Playlin'sGuide

Islands is a daily logic puzzle where your mission is to place islands on a grid using number clues that tell you how many island tiles surround each water space.

You start with an empty grid dotted with numbers. Each number sits in water and indicates exactly how many of the surrounding tiles (horizontally, vertically, and diagonally) contain island pieces. Your job is to figure out where all the islands go.

  • Numbers in water squares show how many adjacent tiles are part of islands.
  • Islands can be any shape and size.
  • No 2x2 blocks of sea are allowed (pools).
  • No guessing required. Every puzzle has one logical solution.
  • A new grid drops every day.

Why we like it:

  • Pure deduction with no time pressure or stress.
  • That satisfying click when the final island shape reveals itself.
  • Difficulty ramps gently, so beginners and veterans both get a workout.

Hint: Start with the highest numbers and the edges. A 5 or 6 in the corner gives you instant certainty about multiple tiles. Lock those down first, then work inward as the possibilities narrow.
