Movie Reveal is a daily trivia game where your mission is to identify a mystery film by strategically revealing clues about its cast, crew, and ratings while managing a 200-point budget across 5 guesses.
Each puzzle starts with everything hidden. You unlock information piece by piece, but every reveal costs points. The lead actor costs 25 points, the director costs 30, the release year costs 10. Guess wrong and you lose 10 more points. The challenge is figuring out the film before you drain your budget or burn through your guesses.
- Start with 200 points and 5 guesses per puzzle.
- Reveal clues by clicking on hidden information. Each clue has a different point cost.
- Type a movie title to guess. Each guess costs 10 points.
- High-value clues like the director or lead actor narrow things down fast but cost more.
- Cheaper clues like runtime, ratings, or box office give context without breaking the bank.
- If you recognize an actor's name but not their face, click it for a headshot.
- A new movie drops every day, with a "Deep Cut" mode for obscure titles.
Why we like it:
- β The point system adds real strategy to what could be a simple guessing game.
- β You learn interesting trivia even when you don't know the answer right away.
- β Deep Cut mode keeps film buffs on their toes with lesser-known gems.
Hint: Start cheap. Reveal the genre and release year first to narrow the era and style, then invest in the director or lead actor only if you need confirmation. Burning 30 points on the director before knowing the decade is a fast track to zero.
