Movie.wtf is a daily movie guessing game where you identify a mystery film by its metadata in Wordle-style deduction across unlimited guesses.
Each round, you pick a movie from a searchable list. Get it wrong and you'll see color-coded clues across five categories: year, runtime, genre, IMDb score, and age rating. Green means exact match. Yellow means close. Grey means no match. Arrows tell you if the real answer is higher or lower than your guess.
- Type a movie title and select from the autocomplete list.
- Each guess reveals feedback across year, runtime, genre, score, and rating.
- Green means that attribute matches exactly.
- Yellow means you're close (within a few years, minutes, or rating points).
- Grey means no match.
- β² / βΌ arrows show whether the correct value is higher or lower.
- Keep guessing until you solve it. No guess limit.
- A new movie drops every day.
Why we like it:
- β The multi-category feedback system makes every guess genuinely informative.
- β No guess cap means you can logic your way through without penalty.
- β Great for film buffs who know their release years and Metacritic ranges by heart.
Hint: Start broad with a blockbuster you know well to calibrate the decade and genre, then narrow from there. Runtime and rating are your sharpest tools once you've bracketed the year.
