Playlin'sGuide
Nurikabe is a classic logic puzzle where your goal is to build numbered islands of light cells while keeping the dark cells as one connected sea.
Each numbered cell is the start of an island. That island must grow to contain exactly that many cells.
Rules to remember:
- Each numbered cell belongs to one island
- An island must contain exactly the number of cells shown
- Islands may touch diagonally
- Islands may not connect orthogonally
The dark cells form the sea, and the sea has two important rules:
- It must be one connected region
- It cannot form a 2x2 block anywhere on the grid
Tap cells to add them to an island and slowly separate land from sea until the full grid makes sense.
Why we like it:
- β A smart blend of counting, spatial reasoning, and deduction.
- β Simple rules lead to very satisfying solves.
- β Every puzzle feels clean, elegant, and fair.
Hint: Start with the smallest islands and watch for places where the sea would accidentally form a 2x2 block.
