On the Record is a news quiz where you answer questions about recent events using real quoted excerpts as clues. Your goal is to figure out the story or answer from the quote before needing extra help.

How it works:

• Each question is based on a recent news event.
• You’ll see a prompt along with a quote from a news source.
• A correct answer on the first try earns the most points.
• If you get it wrong, you’ll move to multiple choice and lose points.
• You can also buy a hint for a smaller point penalty, but doing so means you give up the multiple choice round.
• Weekday quizzes feature one question, while weekend editions include ten.
• Complete the week and you can unlock a bonus wager question using the points you’ve earned.
