Playlin'sGuide
Parithmetic is a daily numbers puzzle where your mission is to build a target number from six tiles using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in as few moves as possible.
You're given six numbers and a target. Combine two tiles to create a new one. Keep combining until you hit the target exactly. Every time you submit, it costs a stroke, and you only get 10. Each puzzle has a par score, the fewest strokes needed by an optimal solution.
- Select two tiles and an operation to combine them.
- The result replaces the two tiles you used.
- All results must be positive whole numbers (no fractions or negatives).
- Hit the target exactly to win. You don't need to use every tile.
- Each submit costs 1 stroke. You have 10 total.
- Some moves are dead ends. You'll know when you hit one.
- Beat par for bragging rights.
Keyboard shortcuts: type a number, then an operator, then the second number. Enter submits, Backspace edits, Esc clears.
Why we like it:
- β That satisfying click when you spot the elegant path through the numbers.
- β Par gives you a target within the target, so even a win can push you to improve.
- β Dead ends add real stakes without being punishing.
Hint: Work backwards from the target. Ask what factors or sums could build it, then check if your tiles can get you there. Chasing random combinations burns strokes fast.
