Platedle

Platedle is a daily license plate game where your mission is to identify the US state behind a plate whose name has been taped over, in 6 guesses.

Each puzzle starts zoomed in on a small detail of a real plate photo. Type a state to guess. If you're wrong, the image zooms out to reveal more, and you're told how far off you are and which direction to look.

• Type a state name to guess.
• You have 6 guesses total.
• Every wrong guess shows the distance and direction to the correct state.
• The map colors in as you play, and the warmer the color, the closer you are.
• Slogans, colors, and pictures on the plate are all clues.
• When the round ends, the tape comes off and the answer is revealed.
• Plates range from current designs to older ones you might still spot on an old car.
• A new plate drops every day, and past plates stay playable. They count toward your stats but not your streak.
