Plausible is a daily word game where you try to identify the real definition of an obscure word.

Each day a rare or unusual word is presented along with several possible definitions. Only one definition is correct. The others were written by players trying to fool you.

Your challenge is to figure out which meaning is real.

• Read the word and its pronunciation.
• Review the list of possible definitions.
• Choose the definition you believe is the true meaning.
• Try to solve it in as few attempts as possible.

After you guess correctly, you’ll see statistics comparing how you performed against other players that day.

You can also participate in the next puzzle by writing your own definition.

• Submit a fake but believable definition for a future word.
• Your definition may appear in another player’s puzzle.
• If players choose your definition, you earn points.

Fake definitions compete using an ELO-style ranking system, similar to chess ratings. The more players your definition fools, the higher it climbs on the leaderboard.
