PricedIn is a daily trivia game where you guess the historical prices of everyday items across different decades, testing your intuition about inflation and how much things really cost over time.
Each day features a single product, like a tub of Quaker Oats or a gallon of milk. You start by choosing an anchor year from a set of options spanning several decades. The game reveals the actual price for that year, and then you must estimate what the same item cost in all the other years shown.
- Pick an anchor year from the available decades.
- The game shows you the real price for that year.
- Guess the prices for all the remaining years based on your anchor.
- Submit your guesses and see how close you were to the actual historical prices.
- A new product drops every day with a fresh set of years to estimate.
The challenge is understanding how inflation, supply chains, and economic shifts affected everyday purchases. Some items skyrocket in price. Others barely budge. Your anchor year shapes your whole strategy.
Why we like it:
- β Makes economic history tangible through items you actually recognize.
- β Quick to play but sparks real curiosity about how prices evolved.
- β Choosing your anchor year adds a strategic layer most trivia games skip.
Hint: Pick a middle anchor year when possible. Starting from an extreme (earliest or latest) makes it harder to gauge movement in both directions. A central anchor gives you better perspective on the full price arc.
