Playlin'sGuide
Word Chain is a daily tile placement puzzle where your mission is to build a valid crossword using 32 letter tiles in as few moves as possible.
You're given a blank grid and sets of letters. Your job is to place all 32 tiles so that every horizontal and vertical sequence forms a valid word. It's part crossword, part jigsaw, and wholly satisfying when the last tile clicks into place.
- Drag letter tiles onto the grid to form connected words.
- All tiles must be used to complete the puzzle.
- Words must interlock like a crossword (horizontal and vertical).
- You have 2 shuffles to rearrange your tile order if you get stuck.
- Your score improves with efficient placement and fewer undos.
- A new puzzle drops every day.
Why we like it:
- β Strategic and satisfying, like building a crossword from scratch.
- β No time pressure, so you can plan your grid carefully.
- β That final tile placement feels like solving a mechanical puzzle.
Hint: Start with longer words first. They anchor the grid and give you intersections to build around. Save short, flexible letters like A, E, and S for filling gaps later.
