Sections Puzzle is a daily number logic game where your mission is to fill a grid with numbers that satisfy two directions at once, using only three simple rules.
The grid is divided by thick bars into horizontal and vertical sections of varying lengths. Your job is to place numbers into each cell so that every section contains the digits 1 through its length, with no repeats. The catch? Each cell belongs to both a horizontal and a vertical section, so every number you place must work for both.
- Thick bars divide the grid into sections (horizontal or vertical groups of cells).
- Each section must contain the numbers 1 through its length, with no repeats. A 3-cell section needs 1, 2, and 3. A 2-cell section needs 1 and 2.
- Every cell belongs to two sections at once. The number you place must be valid for both the horizontal and vertical section it sits in.
- A new puzzle drops every day.
The puzzle starts blank. You fill in numbers one cell at a time, using logic to determine which digits are possible in each spot. Solve it by satisfying every section in both directions.
Why we like it:
- β The dual constraint system creates satisfying aha moments when a tricky cell finally clicks.
- β Clean, minimal design keeps the focus on pure logic without distractions.
- β Gentle difficulty curve makes it approachable for newcomers and engaging for puzzle veterans.
Hint: Start with the smallest sections first. A 2-cell section only has two possible arrangements, which often unlocks surrounding cells and gets the logic chain moving.
