Objective

Guess the correct year three songs were released within 8 attempts, using warmer/cooler feedback to narrow in.

Playlin'sGuide

Songle is a daily music trivia game where your mission is to identify the year three different songs were released in 8 guesses.

Each puzzle gives you three song titles right from the start. All three dropped in the same year. Your job is to figure out which year that was. Type a year, and the game tells you whether you need to go higher or lower with color coded feedback.

  • You get 8 guesses to nail the year.
  • All three songs share the same release year.
  • Each guess returns color coded feedback showing how close you are.
  • Type your answer if you're on a keyboard, or use the interface to select.
  • A new Songle drops every day at midnight Central Time.

The color feedback works like a temperature gauge. The closer you get, the warmer the color. Use it to zero in on the target year, adjusting higher or lower with each attempt.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…Three clues from the jump means you can triangulate the era before your first guess.
  • βœ…Works across decades and genres, so every puzzle feels like a different challenge.
  • βœ…Even near misses teach you something about music history timelines.

Hint: Start broad. If you recognize even one song, guess that approximate era first. The color feedback will guide you from there faster than trying to pinpoint the exact year on guess one.
