Spotle Movies is a daily film guessing game where your mission is to identify a mystery movie from several clue tiles that flip as you guess. You have 10 tries to crack it.

Every day brings a new film from a library of over 3,000 titles spanning decades and genres. Type a movie name, pick it from the dropdown, and watch eight tiles flip to reveal how close you are. Green means exact match, gold means close, and gray means no match at all.

• You have 10 guesses to identify the movie.
• Each guess flips eight clue tiles covering director, studio, year, box office, score, rating, cast, and genres.
• Green tiles are exact matches. Gold tiles mean you're close. Gray means no match.
• Two hints unlock as you progress, one after your fifth guess and another after your eighth.
• A new mystery film drops every day at midnight EST.
• Missed a day? Use Rewatch to play any puzzle from the last 50 days.

The clues are specific and comparative. If you guess The Prestige and the year shows 2006 with an upward arrow, the mystery film came out later. If the director shows C. Nolan in green, you've nailed it. If a cast member appears in gold, they're in the mystery film but not in the same billing position.
