The Ball Grid is a daily Premier League football trivia game where your mission is to fill a 3Γ3 grid with players who match both the row and column criteria for a specific season.
Each day drops a fresh grid. Every cell demands a player who satisfies two requirements at once, like someone who scored 5+ goals AND played for Arsenal in that season. You type a name, the game checks if it fits, and you move on. Multiple answers work for each cell, but rarer picks score higher points.
Two modes keep it fresh:
- Classic Grid gives you unlimited time and up to 9 attempts. Fill all nine cells, and get rewarded for picking obscure players over obvious ones. Rarity drives your score.
- Rapid Fire puts you on the clock. You have 90 seconds to fill as many cells as possible. Wrong answers add a 5 second penalty. Speed and accuracy both count.
- A new puzzle drops every day at midnight.
- Everyone plays the same grid, so you can compare scores with mates.
Why we like it:
- β Rewards deep cut knowledge without punishing you for playing it safe first.
- β Two modes means you can chase rarity or race the clock depending on your mood.
- β That moment when you pull a forgotten loan spell out of thin air is unbeatable.
Hint: In Classic mode, start with the trickiest intersections first. Lock down the hard cells early, then fill the easier ones around them. In Rapid Fire, go for the names you know instantly and circle back if time allows.
