Objective

Name each of today's five movies using only single-word hints, unlocking easier clues that deduct points as you progress.

Playlin'sGuide

Three Clue Movie Game is a daily movie guessing game where your mission is to identify five films from one-word clues in as few guesses as possible.

Each puzzle starts with a single clue. That's it. No screenshots, no blurred posters, just one word connected to the film. Type your guess. If you're wrong or skip ahead, you unlock the next clue, which gets easier but costs you points. Get it on the first word for maximum points, or take all three clues to narrow it down.

How it works:

  • You play 5 films every day. Everyone worldwide gets the same lineup, so scores matter.
  • Each film gives you one clue at a time. It's always a single word, never taken from the title itself.
  • 3 points for guessing on clue one, 2 points on clue two, 1 point on clue three.
  • Stuck on the third clue? You get 3 lifelines a day shared across all five films. Use hints like multiple choice or initials without losing points.
  • 15 points available daily. Finish all five films, share your score card, and compare.

If the answer is The Lion King, you'll never see "lion" or "king." You might see "jungle," then "stampede," then "meerkat." The game trusts your film knowledge and rewards lateral thinking.

Why we like it:

  • Pure wordplay with no visual gimmicks makes it feel like a different kind of puzzle.
  • Everyone plays the same five films, so your score is directly comparable worldwide.
  • Short enough to finish in minutes but tricky enough to make you think.

Hint: Don't overthink the first clue. Let it sit in your mind for a second and think thematically. A single word can point to setting, character type, or tone before you need to commit.
