Playlin'sGuide
Trigram is a weekly word puzzle where your mission is to build a chain of words, each one letter longer than the last, all containing the same three-letter sequence.
Every Monday, a new trigram drops. Your job is to find a 4-letter word containing it, then a 5-letter word, then 6, and so on. The challenge is to keep the streak alive as long as possible before running out of vocabulary.
- Start with a 4-letter word containing the trigram.
- Each next word must be one letter longer and still contain the exact trigram sequence.
- The three letters must appear together with no letters in between.
- Plurals, past tenses, and other suffixes are allowed.
- Keep building until you can't think of a longer valid word.
- A new trigram appears every Monday.
Why we like it:
- β Weekly pacing means you can spend real time hunting for that perfect 12-letter word.
- β Scratches the Wordle itch while rewarding a deeper vocabulary.
- β That moment when you remember an obscure long word feels like striking gold.
Hint: Don't burn your longest words early. If you know a 10-letter word right away, hold it and work your way up methodically. Running out of options at length 7 because you skipped 5 and 6 ends streaks fast.
