Wordfive is a daily word puzzle where you fit five missing letters back into a grid to reveal 5 five-letter words running horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
You're given a partially filled letter grid with five blank spaces and five loose letters below. Your job is to figure out where each letter belongs so the grid contains exactly five complete five-letter words. The removed letters also form a sixth word, but your focus is on reconstruction.
- Click an empty space in the grid, then click a letter to place it.
- The grid hides 5 five-letter words going in different directions.
- Place all five letters correctly to win.
- Use Reset to clear your work, Hint to place one correct letter, or Show Answer if you're stuck.
- A new puzzle drops every day.
Why we like it:
- β It's a satisfying blend of word search logic and constraint solving.
- β Five letters, five words, and usually under five minutes.
- β The diagonal words keep it just tricky enough to feel clever when you nail it.
Hint: Start by scanning for uncommon letters like Q, X, or Z. They drastically narrow where a letter can go. Then look for partial words that only make sense with one or two of your remaining options.
