Yesternerd is a daily history puzzle suite that gives you four distinct games built around identifying historical figures, artifacts, and patterns. Each puzzle resets at midnight, and everyone gets the same set.
The four games are:
Face Value: A historical figure hides under nine scraps of paper. One scrap starts open. Tear away more to reveal the face beneath, then name the person. You can only tear scraps touching what's already uncovered, so plan your route wisely.
Lifeline: Two dots on a map mark where someone was born and where they died, with years included. Type their name to solve it. You get points for unaided answers, but clues cost you. String correct answers together for bonus points across five rounds.
Relic: Like Face Value, but instead of a face, you're uncovering a landmark or artifact. Tear strategically, guess the object, rack up points.
Thread: Sixteen historical terms need sorting into four thematic groups. Find the hidden connection linking each set of four.
Each game has its own scoring system. Wrong guesses and hints cost points. Accuracy pays off. Your daily total reflects how you performed across all four.
Why we like it:
- ✅Four different puzzle types means something clicks even if one stumps you.
- ✅The tearing mechanic in Face Value and Relic adds a spatial puzzle layer most history games skip.
- ✅There's a delightful sound component.
Hint: In Lifeline, the birth and death locations often tell you more than the years. A dot in Macedonia and another in Babylon narrows it down fast.
