Color Flood: Odyssey is a daily puzzle that reimagines the classic color flood mechanic as a nautical journey where you guide Odysseus home to Ithaca by flooding the map to create an unbroken stretch of sea from one corner to the other.
You start with a grid of colored tiles. Odysseus waits in the top left. Ithaca sits in the bottom right. Your job is to build a continuous path of blue sea tiles connecting them, using only a limited number of moves.
How it works:
- Tap a color to flood the top left region and all connected tiles of the same color to that new color.
- You can only flood to a color that's already touching your region.
- Sea tiles must connect up, down, left, or right. Diagonals don't count.
- You have a strict move limit shown at the top. Run out before the corners connect and you lose.
- You don't need to flood the entire board, just create one unbroken sea lane corner to corner.
- Watch your blue supply. If you flood away all the sea tiles before finishing, you can strand Odysseus with no legal moves left.
Blocked tiles (reefs and monsters) appear on harder puzzles. They never flood and you have to route around them.
Why we like it:
- β The nautical theme gives fresh life to a familiar mechanic.
- β Tight move limits turn a casual concept into genuine strategy.
- β A new voyage every day, with difficulty that scales throughout the week.
Hint: Ration your blue tiles carefully. You need sea for the final move, so flooding away all the blue early is the sneakiest way to lose. Build your route in stages and save enough water to finish the journey.
