Objective

Group neighboring hexes into districts with equal voter totals so the horse wins the most seats.

Playlin'sGuide

elect.horse is a daily gerrymandering puzzle where your mission is to draw equal districts on a hex map so a horse wins the most seats, even though the farm animals have more voters.

The horse is up for re-election and set to lose. But you are the one drawing the lines. Carve up the map cleverly and a losing candidate can still come out on top.

  • Group neighboring hexes into districts that all hold the same number of voters.
  • Whichever animal has the most voters in a district takes that seat.
  • Once every voter is placed, call the election and see if the horse beats every rival.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…It turns a thorny political idea into a puzzle you grasp in seconds.
  • βœ…Every map feels like a small, satisfying logic problem.
  • βœ…The horse and farm animal cast make it charming instead of preachy.

Hint: Don't try to beat your rivals everywhere. Let them win a few districts by a landslide, then spread their remaining voters thinly so they fall just short in all the others.
