Playlin'sGuide

Even Distance is a daily geography puzzle where your mission is to name a third city that is as close as possible to equally far from two cities you're shown.

Each puzzle gives you a pair of cities, sometimes on the same continent and sometimes a world apart. Pick a city that sits at nearly the same distance from both. It doesn't need to be famous or in between them. It just needs to balance the distances.

  • You're shown two cities and answer with a third.
  • Any recognised city is a legal answer.
  • You see how close the two distances are, so you know how well you balanced them.
  • Get the gap small enough and you solve the leg. Each leg gets one answer, so make it count.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…It turns a mental map of the world into a satisfying little puzzle.
  • βœ…There's no single right answer, so clever and unexpected picks can work.
  • βœ…Quick to play, and it makes you look at the globe differently.

Hint: Picture the halfway point between the two cities, then think about the line that crosses it at a right angle. Every spot along that line is equally far from both, so look for a city near it.
