Playlin'sGuide

Garage Grid is a daily car trivia game from Piston Arcade where your mission is to fill a 3x3 grid with nine different cars that each match their row and column, using no more than 3 mistakes.

Every square sits at the crossing of two clues, such as a country of origin, a drivetrain, a weight class, a power figure, or an engine layout. Tap a square, then search for a car that fits both. You can search by make or model.

  • Tap an empty square, then search for a car that satisfies its row and column.
  • Every correct car can only be used once per grid.
  • A wrong answer adds a mistake, and 3 mistakes end the game.
  • Your score adds up the rarity percentages of your picks, plus 100 points for every unfilled cell. Lower is better.
  • Rarer picks score better, since rarity reflects car familiarity and what past players chose.
  • A fresh grid arrives every day, and previous grids stay playable in the archive.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…The rarity scoring rewards clever, obscure picks over the obvious answer.
  • βœ…Searching by generation or alternate name makes it friendly to real car fans.
  • βœ…The archive means a missed day is never really missed.

Hint: Start with the square whose two clues overlap the least, then work outward. Save flexible cars with many variants for tighter squares later, since each car can only be used once.
