Movie Pyramid is a daily trivia game where you fill a pyramid-shaped grid by matching movies to clues in each row. You have 12 guesses to complete the board, and each correct answer unlocks a movie poster.
The pyramid has four rows. Each row has a clue (like an actor, director, genre combo, or year range), and you need to find a movie that fits. Click a cell, start typing a movie title, and select from the autocomplete dropdown.
- You have 12 total guesses to fill the entire pyramid.
- Each guess counts whether it's right or wrong.
- A correct answer reveals the movie poster for that cell.
- No movie can be used twice in the same puzzle.
- Click any clue to see more information (like an actor's headshot).
- Higher rows are worth more points, and rarer answers score better.
- A new pyramid drops every day.
The scoring system rewards obscure picks. Each correct movie gets assigned a rarity percentage based on how many other players chose it. Top row answers can score up to 200 points, while bottom row maxes at 100. Pick the deep cuts, not just the obvious blockbusters.
Why we like it:
- β The pyramid structure makes you prioritize which clues to tackle first.
- β Rewarding rare answers over popular ones keeps film nerds engaged.
- β Twelve guesses is generous enough to experiment without feeling punishing.
Hint: Start with the most restrictive clues. If one row combines two specific actors or a tight year range, solve that first. Save the broad clues (single actor with a long career) for when you've narrowed down your remaining options.
