Objective

Drag number and operator blocks into the slots so the final result in the chain is zero.

Playlin'sGuide

Noughtilus is a daily maths puzzle where your mission is to build a chain of number and operator blocks that ends on zero.

Each puzzle gives you a bank of blocks and a row of empty slots. Drag the blocks into place and try different arrangements until the sum works out. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day, so it's easy to compare notes afterwards.

  • Drag blocks from the bank into the slots.
  • Look at the last result in your chain.
  • You've solved it when that final result is 0.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…Dragging blocks around feels more like a playful tinkering session than homework.
  • βœ…Free to play, with a quick puzzle that fits into a spare few minutes.
  • βœ…That moment when the chain finally lands on zero is very satisfying.

Hint: Work backwards. Ask yourself which block would bring the total to 0 at the end, then build the rest of the chain to set it up.
