Objective

For each puzzle, find a word that sounds like the first clue and relates to the second.

Playlin'sGuide

Rhyme+Reason is a daily word puzzle where your mission is to find a mystery word that sounds like the first clue word and is suggested by the second, across 5 puzzles with 3 attempts each.

Each puzzle shows two words joined by a plus sign. The first word is your sound clue, and the last word is your meaning clue. Your answer has to satisfy both. For example, a pairing like MEET + BUTCHER points to meat, which sounds like the first word and fits the second.

  • Read the first word aloud and think of rhymes or sound-alikes.
  • Read the last word and think of things connected to it.
  • Look for the word that fits both.
  • Stuck? Tap Next Hint for extra help.
  • You have 3 attempts on each puzzle.
  • A fresh set of five puzzles arrives every day.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…Combining sound and meaning is a fresh twist on wordplay.
  • βœ…Five quick puzzles give you a nice sense of progress.
  • βœ…The hint button keeps tough ones from feeling like dead ends.

Hint: Start with the meaning clue, not the sound. Jot down a few words linked to the last word, then check which one rhymes with the first.
