Listen to each of five notes and choose its name from the keyboard.

Playlin'sGuide

ToneWren is a daily ear training game where your mission is to identify five musical notes by sound alone, one at a time, earning points that build toward composer titles in a growing listening library.

Each challenge gives you a short played note. Listen as many times as you like, then pick the note name from the keyboard of choices. Get it right and you move on. The whole thing is tied to real classical works, so every round doubles as a tiny music history lesson.

  • Press play to hear the note. Replay it as often as you need before answering.
  • Choose from C through B, including sharps, using the on screen keys or your keyboard.
  • You get one guess per note, five notes per daily challenge.
  • No account needed. You can name your Wren and save a progress link to keep your streak across devices.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…It turns ear training into a quick daily ritual instead of a chore.
  • βœ…The composer library adds real musical context to every note you learn.
  • βœ…Shareable scores make it easy to compare your ear against friends.

Hint: Hum the note back to yourself after replaying it. Anchoring it to your own voice makes it far easier to match against the keyboard of choices.
