Type actor names to solve three rounds, using no more than fifteen guesses in total.
Playlin'sGuide
Typecast is a daily casting puzzle where your mission is to name three actors of rising difficulty using fifteen guesses, a hand of hint cards, and your knowledge of film and television.
Each round presents three actors in order of increasing obscurity, worth 100, 250 and 500 points. Type a name to guess. Correct answers cost nothing, but a wrong guess burns one of your fifteen tries. Stuck. Hint cards reveal clues about the actor, though each card you play chips away at the points on offer. Clear an actor without touching a single card and your payout for the next one gets multiplied, so restraint has its rewards.
- You have fifteen guesses total across all three actors.
- A correct name costs nothing. A wrong guess costs one guess.
- Hint cards cost up to three points each but narrow down the actor.
- Solve an actor card free and your next payout gets a multiplier.
- Leftover guesses at the end convert into bonus points.
- A new trio of actors appears every day.
Why we like it:
- β The risk and reward of hint cards adds a layer of strategy most guessing games skip entirely.
- β The difficulty curve from easy to obscure keeps both casual fans and film buffs engaged.
- β Chasing that multiplier makes every clueless guess feel like a real gamble.
Hint: Save your cards for the third actor. The first two are usually gettable from memory alone, and holding your hints in reserve protects your multiplier for when you really need the help.
