Objective

Spell valid words by tracing connected letters, then use the cascading tiles to create new letter combinations and clear the entire grid.

Playlin'sGuide

Word Spill is a daily word puzzle where you trace connected letters to spell words, clearing them from the board until nothing remains.

You start with a grid of letter tiles, each touching others in all directions. Drag or tap to connect three or more adjacent letters into a valid word. Once you submit, those tiles disappear and the remaining letters cascade down and sideways to fill the gaps, creating new combinations. Your goal is to clear every tile.

  • Connect 3 or more touching letters in any direction to form words.
  • Completed words spill off the board, and remaining tiles shift to fill the space.
  • Keep spelling until the entire grid is cleared.
  • Each letter has a small number indicating its point value.
  • A new puzzle drops every day.

The cascading mechanic is what makes Word Spill clever. Each word you spell reshapes the board, so planning ahead matters. Sometimes the best move is a small word that sets up a bigger clearing next.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…The shifting tiles keep every puzzle dynamic and unpredictable.
  • βœ…No timer pressure means you can think strategically or just relax.
  • βœ…Watching the board collapse after a good word is oddly satisfying.

Hint: Don't always go for the longest word you see. Sometimes a short word unlocks better letter combinations after the spill. Think a move or two ahead.
