Wordiply by The Guardian is a vocabulary-stretching daily word game where you must create the longest word you can that contains a given starter word. You only get five attempts, so every guess matters.
How it works:
- Youβre given a short seed word at the start.
- Each guess must include that exact seed somewhere inside it.
- Longer words earn a higher length score, and using more letters increases your letter score.
- After five tries, see how your best word compares to the maximum-length solution.
Why we like it:
- β A refreshing spin on word games, less guessing, more creativity.
- β Makes you think about words in new, delightful ways.
- β Super satisfying when you land on a monster-length word.
Hint: Try building around plurals, prefixes, suffixes, or compound words. Theyβre secret length boosters!
Bonus Hint: Science and medical terms can be especially long. The source "NOME" leads to "SPHYGMOMENOMETERS" π
