Playlin'sGuide

Zanagrams is a free daily word puzzle where you drag across letters to find hidden words and watch the grid shrink as you solve it.

You start with a cluster of letters connected by paths. Your job is to trace words by dragging from letter to letter along the lines. Each time you find a word, the letters and paths you used disappear, collapsing the grid into a smaller, tighter puzzle. Keep going until all the words are found.

  • Drag across letters in any direction to form words, following the connecting paths.
  • Release to submit. You can also tap letters one by one, then tap the formed word to submit.
  • Letters and paths vanish once they're no longer needed for any remaining words.
  • Words can be found in any order. The puzzle stays solvable no matter what sequence you choose.
  • Bonus words (less common terms not required to finish) earn you extra recognition.
  • A new puzzle drops every day.

Why we like it:

  • βœ…Watching the grid collapse as you solve creates a uniquely satisfying sense of progress.
  • βœ…The path-based mechanic makes it feel fresh compared to standard word searches.
  • βœ…Quick enough for a coffee break, but tricky enough to keep you thinking.

Hint: Start with longer words or common patterns like -ING or -TION. Clearing big chunks early gives you a clearer view of what's left and prevents the grid from feeling overwhelming.
