Playlin'sGuide

Abako Daily is a free mental maths puzzle where your mission is to combine numbers to hit a target number exactly using add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Every day brings four fresh puzzles, the same for everyone worldwide. You get a set of numbers and a target. Tap a number, pick an operation, tap another number. Keep building until you nail the target. Each number can be used once per round.

  • You have a set of numbers and one target number.
  • Combine them using + − × ÷ in any order.
  • Each number can be used once per puzzle.
  • No timer. Take your time, search deeper, find elegant solutions.
  • Four rounds daily, same for all players.
  • You can skip a puzzle if you're stuck.
  • A new set drops every midnight.

This is the Countdown numbers round as a daily game. It's also a spiritual successor to NYT Digits, which The New York Times shut down in 2023 after just 120 puzzles.

Why we like it:

  • No timer means you actually think instead of panic guessing.
  • Four rounds with rising difficulty give you a satisfying arc every day.
  • Free, no account, no ads, and the archive shows solutions for every past puzzle.

Hint: Start by spotting multiples or factors in your numbers. If the target is 72 and you've got 8 and 9, that's your backbone. Build from there.
